Too Much is Happening
Everything is on overload.
I look at the latest “news” and it’s like snow on an old TV inside my head. White noise that is “out there” but way too much drama to take in. Not just the “news” but everything. People are detached from reality. So many people believe so much misinformation and lies perpetrated by our own government. And it comes so fast that by the time the issue gets cleared up as a nothing burger, the public is already being fed something else that is taking more precedent.
The 24/7/365 “news” cycle is not healthy and/or reliable.
Even entertainment feels detached now. Something new will be announced and I feel nothing but apathy for it. So much so that I want nothing to do with it.
You Might Be A Russian Plant If…
If you hold any views contrary to the Fascist and Communist Left… You might be a Russian plant.
That’s literally the view from the Left. They are so fucking brainwashed into believing they are in the right that they can’t see how controlled and manipulated they are. This also points to simulation theory by the way. Processing power is saved when the majority of these people do as they are told so maybe they are incapable of critical thinking.
When you have to change the definitions of words to make your arguments work in your favor, then you are not in the right on the issue.
Bring on the synthetics, at least they’ll have an excuse to be a controlled subset. The Left are just fucking dumb asses. They are quite literally the stupidest people on the planet.
The Diatribe
I typed out an entire diatribe yesterday on the the DOJ influencer witch hunt, the crony Republicans that jumped on the bandwagon and are splitting the unity, the Georgia shooter, and Telegram. Alas… it will probably never see the light of day.
More and more I just view this entire system as broken.
The Silver Lining
On the flip from the above, apathy is freeing. I'm still enjoying older movies and TV shows (Thanks Tubi and physical media). And I’m enjoying the physical music and digital downloads (that I OWN such as music from Bandcamp) and tend to listen to way more than something streamed on subscription. When you own something, it is more important than having access to it via subscription (another reason I will continue to fight for individual post purchases on Substack versus only having subscriptions).
It’s almost like all of the drama we see play out in the world has been done so many times already that it’s a shrug your shoulders moment to say, “Of course X happened again.” Because we keep seeing the same things again and again and it’s desensitizing.
So apathy becomes bliss.
