This, That, and The Other (Lost in the Super Unknown Edition)
A little bit of this, a little bit of that, and a whole lot of the other.
Well shit…
The id has been on vacation or something. The rat bastard up and took off for a bit and with that exodus goes the muse of my creativity (or something and something and blah, blah, blah…)
So let’s try to power through this edition of This, That, and The Other on the leftover vapor that’s still in the tank.
(There will be GIFs so if you can’t see them in your email… Click on through for the FULL READING EXPERIENCE.)
Zuck Off Already…
My Zuckbook account is finally gone. Vapor to the public but I’m guessing Zuck’s crack team of dev’s has it backed up and housed in some private Meta server that allows access to whatever evil governments that want it (including the US Government). And while I scrubbed my account before hitting delete (I always kept it curated and ready for the delete switch to be flipped) it would not surprise me if Zuckbook kept a cold storage backup of everything deleted.
All this and Zuck finally admitted that the Biden/Harris admin pressured him to censor posts on Covid, the vaxx, and the Hunter Biden laptop. All those things we said were valid and real but that fucker put us in Zuckbook jail because the dumb ass leftists claimed it was misinformation. And look at that… EVERY single leftist was a fucking liar. Not to be trusted. Never to be believed. MOST misinformation comes from the left.
The tired excuse that one cannot delete Zuckbook because “everyone I know is there,” doesn’t hold up. Get the contact info (Email and Phone Numbers) of the people you actually talk to and communicate with and then nuke the rest. There is no reason to keep feeding Zuckbook and keeping that shitty site alive.
WARNING: A lot of accounts are being hacked over there. Accounts with 2FA implemented. And Zuckbook does nothing to get your account back. It’s not a matter of “if” you will be hacked, but “when”.
What I’m Watching
I’m currently re-watching (Since I haven’t watched them since they originally aired in the 80’s) the Max Headroom series (DVD). All these years later and the dystopian cyberpunk future envisioned in this show is still cooler than the dystopian reality we are living in. Although… One episode points out how elections are rigged and then uses a Deep Fake Video to keep the politician in line (the first use of a Deep Fake probably). And this show was a warning against too much screen time and the evil corporations that keep people tied to their screens. Big Tech of today anyone???
After this, I may continue where I left off with Miami Vice or maybe start Knight Rider (both of which I haven’t seen since they originally aired in the 80’s).
Also… This YouTube diatribe is a MUST SEE because the dude hits the nail on the head:
This is also why I find myself watching 70’s, 80’s, 90’s TV/Movies with a very limited amount of stuff between 2000 - 2020 or so.
What I’m Reading:
The Last Werewolf by Glen Duncan. This is a good book. It’s in first person (my favorite point of view) and the author’s writing really draws me in. There’s horror, action, intrigue, and sex… I can see Guy Ritchie directing a film version of this because the dialogue is on par with how he writes it for his movies.
What I’m Listening To:
I’ve been listening to a lot of synth stuff like Drew Neumann (Animate Aeon Flux double soundtrack Eye Spy, Ears Only: Confidential - Good luck finding these excellent discs now) and Mac Quayle’s MR. ROBOT soundtracks. Might as well have some good soundtracks for the shitty dystopia we find ourselves living through.
Tip Jar
I’m debating (to myself since the id is such a fucking slacker right now) on whether I should add a Tip Jar link (mainly just to my novel and short stories) versus using the paywall. Do people use these? What platform should one use? Is it viable?
On the flip side… I kind of feel like I would be taking money away from Substack but damn… Why can’t they implement single transactions on here??? You can have subscriptions and then also have single transactions. That would make more sense than just settling with everything to be a subscription or not.
I’m only beginning this research so if anyone has any info on how to do this and whether they work, let me know in the comments.
And that’s a wrap…
Blipverts 😎
My wife and I were huge fans of Peewee Herman too, I know, not for everyone, but we never missed it.
