Show me anyone making it work from the get - and I will show you someone - including me - who brought the majority of their audience over with them from another platform or an established email list that they worked to build over the years.
The only difference? Time.
Your stuff is amazing, and I would NEVER blow smoke up your ass. I'm sure you know that by now.
Not stopping anytime soon, though the audiences befuddle the mind sometimes. I wish Substack could have been up and running when G+ was unceremoniously ripped from the web. I could have brought more of that audience along. Unfortunately, the platforms between the two were fractured to say the least. Google really dropped a bomb on us with that one (haven't fully trusted them ever since then and not at all now), more so than the great Myspace diaspora.
I’ll pile on here…Demi is right dude, you’re good. The rest is timing. Also keep in mind that everything, and I mean fucking everything in this space(reality) is *relative* Meaning, no matter where you are there is always somewhere you’re trying to get to. You never really arrive so try to enjoy the journey, and all the rest of that uplifting stuff….
But yeah, what the fuck is wrong with people?? lol don’t they know everything I do is amazing?!?! Where’s MY Netflix deal?? lol 😂
Part of this process is showing the negatives as well as the positives. Let’s say… full disclosure of thought versus the social networking point of view of every thing is perfect all of the time. We all get these moments where fighting the algorithm and the wave is a bit of chore.
Dude, so much I want to talk about here. Great analogy here, I love the Lords of the North series, it speaks to me in many different ways. Nicely done.
First of all don't stop until you've mastered this. That's when you set it aside., after you've breached the castle walls. It may seem that it's working against you, but it is actually working on you as you adapt. Be cunning like Uthred, and like the bastard he is, you'll find tune those few things.
Now, I have conjecture, bear with me. While I enjoyed the Netflix series the Last Kingdom, I always pictured Uhtred to be like Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) from Vikings. I still picture him when I read the series. Something about Fimmel's charisma as Ragnar, that nearly insane, aberrant behavior embodied Uhtred. I wish Fimmel had been cast on The Last Kingdom. Anyway Fantasy Football for TV. I do podcast and if you ever wanted to come on and talk about Lords of The North, I think it would be pretty cool.

It's genuinely good. Keep going. <3
Appreciate the kind words.

Onward and hopefully upward.
The internet and all the rest of this is just so fucking strange dude. Can’t stop, wont stop? Wait, was that Diddy???😂
No clue. The only thing I can remember from Diddy was when he was Daddy and stole from The Police. I couldn't even tell you a a single lyric from him.

Be popular now or remembered later, take your pick.
